Texas Holdem is the most popular variation of the poker game. Here you can find a basic introduction to Texas Holdem rules. Texas Holdem Rules

Between 2 and 10 players can participate in a Texas Holdem poker game. The dealer deals each player 2 face down cards, known as hole or pocket cards. The first betting round starts with the player to the dealers left. According to the Texas Holdem rules, each player has to choose between calling, raising or folding.

After the first betting round, the dealer deals 3 cards face up, called community cards or board cards, and places them at the center of the table. All the remaining players can use those cards in order to form the highest poker hand as possible. According to the Texas Holdem rules, this part of the game is called the flop.

According to the Texas Holdem rules, a second round of betting follows the flop. At the second betting round, known as the turn, each player has to choose between checking, raising or folding. Then, the dealer places a fourth face up card in the middle of the table. This betting round is also known as the turn.

The next betting round is called the river. After the last round of betting, all the remaining players are revealing their hands. This part of the game is known as the showdown. The winner is the player with the highest hand and he gets to take the pot.
